Receipts From our Fiscal Department
Kinder Works is happy to email or mail tuition payment receipts upon request. If you would like a receipt for 2017 year-end taxes, dependent care, or any other purpose, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include your child’s name and with which Kinder Works you are affiliated.
Please be advised that requests could take up to 2 weeks to process; our year-end figures are completed by mid-February. Your school’s EIN number is given in your Parent Handbook and on all receipts.
Please note that our school Directors do not have access to your fiscal information, and all such inquiries and requests should go directly to our Fiscal Office. Thank you!
Foul Weather Procedures
Kinder Works usually follows Central Bucks School District closings, which are announced on major radio and news stations. (The closing number for Central Bucks is 755.) Delays and closings will be emailed and mass-texted.
For a 1 hour delay, Kinder Works will open at 8:30 AM. For a 2 hour delay, Kinder Works will open at 9:30 AM. Should the school need to close in the middle of the day, Kinder Works will send an email and mass text message to our families. If there is an emergency that requires us to move the children from the school, we will include the alternate pick-up location.
If Kinder Works is going to deviate from the above procedure, you will receive an email, mass text, and/or phone call specifying our actions.
A Note About Outside Play
We go outside to play, even in the Winter! We stay healthy by getting natural sunlight through our eyes and a little on our faces, not to mention the benefits of breathing fresh air. Please be sure that your children come to Kinder Works dressed for the weather, wearing hats, gloves, etc. Also, please clearly label all coats, hats, mittens, and extra clothes with your child’s name. Of course, if it is too cold, we stay indoors for musical and physical fun. Thank you!
Kinder Works will be CLOSED for the Winter Holiday from December 25th through January 1st. We return to school on Tuesday, January 2nd.
We wish you all a warm & wonderful holiday and a happy, healthy New Year!
Wednesday, December 13th
Skip the lines at the Mall; the REAL Santa Claus is coming to Kinder Works! Santa will arrive at 4:30PM on Wednesday, December 13th to visit all of our good little girls and boys.
Your family is invited to stop in for a visit during your regular pick-up time, between 4:30-6:30PM. For AM and Tues-Thurs families, please stop in to visit Santa between 5:30 and 6:30.
All children are welcome to visit with Santa while his “little elves” photograph this precious childhood memory. Pictures will be framed and given to you the following week, so no need to wait for printing! Families can also enjoy a light snack buffet, decorate a cookie, and take home a special gift!
The “Giving Tree”
November 27th – December 15th
The “Giving Tree” is a beautiful holiday tradition that we celebrate at Kinder Works. Each year we decorate a tree with paper ornaments; each ornament bears the name and age of a local needy child. Your child can choose one of these ornaments and become a “Secret Santa” for that child.
Visit our “Giving Tree” to choose an ornament with your child early in December. Please return your gift in a gift bag, with the ornament as its tag, by placing it under the tree on or before December 15th.
Watching your child thoughtfully pick out a gift for a child in need will warm your heart!
Hurricane Relief… because being kinder works.
Our Hurricane Relief efforts have been met with generous donations! Thank you so much!
Some people have asked if we would accept diapers and wipes (in lieu of money to buy the same) and the answer is YES!
We are ending collections on Friday, November 17th, so if you would like to make a last-minute donation, please do so on or before Friday (see PDF below).
Thank you so much for your generosity!
Pow-Wows: a “Circle of Friends”
Monday & Tuesday, November 20th & 21st
We celebrate the Great Spirit of Friendship at our annual “Circle of Friends” Pow-Wows, to celebrate multi-cultural awareness, acceptance of diversity, as well as giving and gratitude. The children don their own creative costumes (feather headdresses, “leather vests,” etc.) and chant and sing together before sharing a friendship snack.
All Preschool and Kindergarten classes gather together in the Gym on Monday, 11/20 at 10:30AM & Tuesday 11/21 at 10:30AM. All Kinder Works children and their parents are welcome to attend.
