Wednesday, December 13th
Skip the lines at the Mall; the REAL Santa Claus is coming to Kinder Works! Santa will arrive at 4:30PM on Wednesday, December 13th to visit all of our good little girls and boys.
Your family is invited to stop in for a visit during your regular pick-up time, between 4:30-6:30PM. For AM and Tues-Thurs families, please stop in to visit Santa between 5:30 and 6:30.
All children are welcome to visit with Santa while his “little elves” photograph this precious childhood memory. Pictures will be framed and given to you the following week, so no need to wait for printing! Families can also enjoy a light snack buffet, decorate a cookie, and take home a special gift!
Pow-Wows: a “Circle of Friends”
Monday & Tuesday, November 20th & 21st
We celebrate the Great Spirit of Friendship at our annual “Circle of Friends” Pow-Wows, to celebrate multi-cultural awareness, acceptance of diversity, as well as giving and gratitude. The children don their own creative costumes (feather headdresses, “leather vests,” etc.) and chant and sing together before sharing a friendship snack.
All Preschool and Kindergarten classes gather together in the Gym on Monday, 11/20 at 10:30AM & Tuesday 11/21 at 10:30AM. All Kinder Works children and their parents are welcome to attend.
Spring Egg Hunts
Tuesday & Wednesday, April 11th & 12th
Kinder Works welcomes Spring with our annual Egg Hunts! During your child’s Gym & Music period, the Kinder Works Rabbit will hide her eggs all over our playground, and watch the excitement as the boys and girls try to find all of her secret hiding places and fill their bags with special treats. Who knows what we will find!
“Lucky” the Leprechaun Visits
Thursday & Friday, March 16th & 17th
Around St. Patrick’s Day each year, Lucky the Leprechaun travels from his home in Ireland, or ‘The Emerald Isle,’ all the way to Kinder Works! He tries to trick us with “upside down antics” and leaves a glittery shamrock trail throughout our school. We’ll find out if this shimmery path leads to his treasured pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
Valentine’s Day Celebrations
Monday & Tuesday, February 13th & 14th
Valentine’s Day provides an “EQ” opportunity to express appreciation for the friends and family that we love. On February 13th and 14th, we will enjoy Valentine’s Day stories and songs of love, dancing with our friends, and special valentine-themed arts and crafts!
To participate in the Valentine’s Day card exchange, please send in 36 cards signed with only your child’s name. (Please do not address cards to specific children so that your child can hand out his/her own cards. Sun Bears will be asked to address their Valentines as a homework assignment.) Please send the cards in a bag labeled with your child’s name, and give the bag to your child’s teacher. Thank you!
Thursday & Friday, February 16th & 17th
You’re invited to a Pajama Party! Wear your warmest pajamas to school on Thursday and Friday, February 16th and 17th, to celebrate “letter Pp week”!
(Please keep the weather in mind and layer appropriately if needed. Please leave your slippers, robes, blankies, and stuffed animals at home and wear regular shoes so that we can play safely at school.)
